Hours from big5global.com, read on 23 October 2026. The later start on Monday buys a little more time on an empty stand. The show spreads across the Exhibition Plaza, Halls 1 to 8, the Trade Centre Arena and the Sheikh Rashid, Sheikh Saeed and Al Multaqua halls, so the hall goes on the booking along with the stand number.
What construction exhibitors film at Big 5
- Product demonstrations. A fixing system installed, a panel cut, a pump or an air-handling unit running: filmed close enough that a specifier can see how it works without visiting the stand.
- Technical explainers. The product engineer at a cut-away or a model, two minutes on what it solves, the clip a sales team sends to consultants for the rest of the year.
- A tour of the stand. One unbroken minute walking the build and the range, with the people who staff it, for the website and the tender documents.
- Pavilion coverage. For a country pavilion, each member company filmed in turn across the day, with a pavilion film for the trade body that organised it.
- Contractor and distributor voices. Visitors who use the product, asked on camera what it changed on site.
- Arabic subtitle versions, for GCC distributors and government buyers, quoted per film.
Planning the shoot around the stand
Many Big 5 stands are heavy builds with working equipment, so the shot list is written against the demo schedule rather than the clock: when each machine runs, when the engineers are free to talk, and when a partner delegation is booked to visit. A stand that runs one demo an hour needs a different plan from one that runs all day. A day on the stand returns a highlight of up to two minutes and a pair of vertical cuts. Booking one or two of the four days keeps the cost down; a half day starts from AED 3,000 and a day with a same-day edit from AED 7,000. As with every show week from October to December, a peak surcharge is listed on the quote before you sign off, and the badge for the videographer is confirmed with your stand contact.
Booking Big 5 coverage
Send the hall and stand number, the demo schedule and the days you want. Big 5 closes a week before National Day on 2 December, so if the office celebration needs filming too, the National Day guide covers it, and the other shows of the season are in the November calendar.
