Introduction
GITEX Global 2026 runs from 7 to 11 December, and for the first time the exhibition moves to the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai, with the opening Scale Summit staying at Dubai World Trade Centre on 7 December. The venue is new, but the problem for every exhibitor is the same: the stand costs more than almost any other marketing day of the year, and without video nearly all of it evaporates when the halls close.
The dates and the new venue
The programme opens on Monday 7 December with the GITEX Scale Summit at DWTC. The exhibition itself runs Tuesday 8 to Friday 11 December at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai, a venue most exhibitors and most videographers will be working for the first time. Hall layouts, lighting and access rules will differ from the DWTC editions everyone knows, which makes the pre-show planning call matter more than usual this year.

What exhibitors actually need filmed at GITEX
- A booth film. Sixty to ninety seconds of the stand in show light with the product in use and the team on camera. It is the asset that goes on the website and into the post-show email.
- Demo capture. Product demos filmed clean with close-ups, so the sales team has footage that explains the product better than a brochure for the rest of the year.
- Executive and partner interviews. Recorded at the stand with wireless lavalier audio against the hall noise; these become the LinkedIn posts that reach the buyers who did not attend.
- Same-week vertical clips. Cut and delivered during the show so the team posts while #GITEX is trending, not a fortnight later.
- A post-show recap. The film that goes to the head office and into next year's budget conversation.
What it costs
Show-day coverage from a solo operator typically lands between AED 2,000 to 7,000 per day, depending on hours on the stand, how many interviews and demos are captured and how many edits are delivered during and after the show. A two-day booking with clips during the week and the booth film, interviews and recap afterwards is the most common shape. Every proposal is itemised per deliverable. The full breakdown of what drives exhibition video pricing is on the exhibition and trade show video page.
When to book, and what to sort before the show
- Book two months out. GITEX week is the busiest week of the year for every videographer in Dubai. Exhibitors who confirm coverage in October get the plan they want; those who call in December get whatever is left.
- Confirm badge arrangements. Most organisers allow exhibitors to film their own stand; some require a media or contractor badge through your stand contact. That is checked and flagged at booking.
- Fix the stand schedule. Confirm when the demos run, when executives are on the stand and when partner delegations visit, so the shooter is there for those moments rather than filming an empty booth at opening.
- Decide the delivery order. Which clips must go out during the show, which interviews are urgent, and when the recap is needed for the internal debrief.
Booking GITEX coverage
Send the stand number, the days you need covered and roughly what the marketing team needs out of the show. You will get an itemised proposal, and the dates are held once a deposit is paid. Coverage of the wider UAE exhibition calendar (Gulfood, World Health Expo, ADIPEC at ADNEC, Cityscape) runs on the same terms.
