UAE National Day 2026: filming your company's celebration

Introduction

UAE National Day, Eid Al Etihad, falls on Wednesday 2 December 2026, the 55th since the federation was formed, and companies usually mark it on one of the working days before the holiday: a celebration in the office or a hotel ballroom, a greeting from the leadership on LinkedIn, and a few days of posts in the national colours. Jubin J Mathew, a Dubai-based videographer working as videography.ae, films all three on one booking and delivers the edits in time for the day itself.

What companies film for National Day

Timing: film before, publish on the day

The government's holiday list gives 2 and 3 December for National Day, and the exact days off are confirmed in November: in 2025 they were moved to 1 and 2 December and announced on 17 November. Monday 30 November is Commemoration Day, a day of remembrance, so plan the celebration around it. A greeting video has to be finished, approved and scheduled before 2 December, so it is filmed earlier than the celebration. A plan that works:

WhenWhat happens
By mid NovemberDate, venue and running order fixed; coverage booked
By about 25 NovemberLeadership greeting and team voices filmed in the office
Last working days of NovemberGreeting edit approved; office celebrations filmed
Wed 2 DecemberGreeting video and vertical clips go live

The highlight film from the celebration follows in four working days. When it has to be shown before guests leave, a same-day edit is cut on site and screened at the close.

Filming it with care

National Day content is watched closely, by colleagues and by clients. The flag and national symbols are framed with respect, clean and shown the right way, never used as a floor prop. Colleagues are asked before close-ups that will go on public channels. Greeting scripts stay on the occasion: thanks, the country's milestones and your team, with your communications or government relations lead on the approval list. Music is licensed for social platforms, so a post is not muted the day it goes up.

What it costs

A half day of coverage starts from AED 3,000: up to 5 hours on site, a 60 to 90 second highlight film and one vertical cut. A leadership greeting video starts from AED 2,000 for up to 3 hours with one or two speakers, a 60 to 90 second edit and a vertical cut. When both are filmed on the same day in the same office, they are quoted as one booking. A full day starts from AED 4,400, and a same-day edit screened before the celebration ends starts from AED 7,000 with full-day coverage. Photography, Arabic subtitles and a second operator are separate lines. Late November falls in the October to December peak season, which carries a surcharge stated on the quote before you confirm. Sharjah and Ajman cost the same as Dubai; Abu Dhabi adds travel as its own line. The full price list is on the packages page.

Booking National Day coverage

Send the date, the venue, the start and finish times and what you need (the celebration film, a greeting video, photos) on WhatsApp. You will get an itemised proposal within 24 hours, and the date is held once the deposit is paid. If your team is also exhibiting at a show in November, the November 2026 events guide lists the dates and what to book for each.
