How much does video production cost in Dubai in 2026? Rates by type and by producer

Introduction

Three quotes for the same corporate film in Dubai can read AED 6,000, AED 16,000 and AED 45,000, and all three can be honest. The difference is rarely the camera or the running time; it is how many people are paid on the shoot and how many lines the quote carries. This guide sets out what each type of production costs from a solo operator, what the same brief tends to cost from a small company and from an agency, and what every line on a production quote pays for. The videographer cost guide covers hourly and day rates and the corporate video cost guide covers corporate formats; this one is about the producer.

Video production costs in Dubai in 2026, by type and by producer

The solo column is this studio's published starting price for each production type, checked September 2026. The company and agency columns are market observation: the pattern seen in quotes on agency productions Jubin has filmed on as a sub-contracted operator, expressed as multiples and rounded ranges. They are not quotes from any named supplier and no supplier is being compared.

Read down the solo column and the spread is narrow: from AED 2,000 for a walkthrough to AED 6,000 for a three-minute film. Read across any row and the spread is wide. That is the point of the table. Format decides whether a booking is AED 2,000 or AED 6,000; producer decides whether it is AED 6,000 or AED 25,000. The five packages behind the solo column are on the packages page, and the video production page explains how a single operator covers the full pipeline.

What the lines on a Dubai production quote mean

An agency or production company quote usually arrives as ten or so lines. Here is what each one pays for, and which ones disappear when one person quotes, shoots and edits.

  1. Pre-production. Script, storyboard, shot list, recce, casting. Billed as producer and creative days at a company or agency. With a solo operator it is a call and a document, included in the package price.
  2. Crew day rates. Director, director of photography, camera operators, sound recordist, gaffer, assistant. Each is a day rate on the sheet. A solo quote has one person on set; a second operator is a named extra line only when the brief needs two cameras. The camera crew page shows what a single operator day costs on its own.
  3. Kit. Cameras, lenses, lights, audio, grip, often hired per day from a rental house and passed on with a margin. A solo operator owns the kit (here, Sony FX6, A7 IV and ZV-E1, wireless lavaliers and lighting) so this line does not exist.
  4. Permits and location fees. Public locations in Dubai need a filming permit, and venues can charge location fees. These are real costs for any producer and stay a separate line on every quote, including this one.
  5. Studio. Only when the brief needs one. Most corporate and interview work is shot in your own office, showroom or clinic, which removes the line entirely.
  6. Talent. Presenters, actors, models, voiceover artists. Always separate, whoever produces. Using your own staff on camera removes it.
  7. Post-production. Offline edit, online, grade, sound mix, motion graphics, each often a different person at an edit house billed by the day. A solo operator edits, grades and mixes in-house, which is where most of the saving sits. Edit-only work is priced per deliverable on the video editing page.
  8. Music licensing. A stock licence for web and social is included in the packages here. Broadcast or paid-media licences for a named track are quoted at cost by everyone.
  9. Revisions. Companies and agencies specify rounds and bill beyond them. The packages here include one or two rounds depending on the format, and say so in writing.
  10. Project management and margin. An account manager's time and the agency's percentage on every line above. Legitimate at campaign scale. On a two-minute interview film it can be a third of the invoice, and it is the line a solo operator does not have.

Six things that move the price of video production in Dubai

  1. Shoot days. The largest lever for every producer. One day is one set of day rates; two days doubles the crew, the kit and the travel. Most corporate briefs fit one day if the people are scheduled back to back.
  2. Locations. Each location is a lighting build, a sound check and a move. Two locations in one district cost less than two across the city, and a second day less than a permit.
  3. Crew. One operator or five. A second camera adds a day rate; a sound recordist adds another. Ask whether the brief needs them or whether the quote assumes them.
  4. Talent. A professional presenter or actors add casting time, fees and usage rights. Your own managing director on camera adds nothing but a lavalier.
  5. Post scope. One master is one edit. A master plus a 60-second cut, three verticals, Arabic subtitles and an animated opener is six or seven, and post is where the hours accumulate.
  6. Turnaround. A first cut in 2 to 5 working days is standard here; same-day and 48-hour delivery cost more because they displace other work. A 7 to 14 day window costs least.

How to get a lower video production quote in Dubai without a worse film

Who this Dubai cost guide is for

Businesses in Dubai and across the UAE commissioning video and paying in AED: marketing managers, founders, event organisers, brokers, clinics and agencies booking a sub-contracted operator. Rates in other countries follow different labour, permit and kit costs and will not match these figures. This is a guide to buying production, not a rate card for anyone seeking work; videography.ae is a solo studio and does not take on crew or freelancers.

Where these figures come from

Updated 21 September 2026. The solo column is the set of published starting prices on this site, checked September 2026: five packages from AED 2,000 to AED 6,000 on the packages page plus the from-prices on the individual service pages, with most projects landing between AED 2,000 to 7,000. The company and agency columns are market observation from quotes seen on agency productions where Jubin was the operator on set, rounded into multiples and ranges. No competitor is named or quoted, and no figure in those two columns should be read as a price anyone has offered you. Ask each supplier for its own itemised proposal.

Video production cost questions

How much does video production cost in Dubai?

From one senior solo operator, video production in Dubai costs AED 2,000 to 7,000 per project in 2026: an interview or property walkthrough from AED 2,000, an event day from AED 4,400 and a three-minute corporate film from AED 6,000. A small production company quotes roughly two to three times those figures for the same brief, and an agency brand film usually starts at AED 25,000.

What are video production rates in Dubai per day?

A camera operator with kit and footage handed over on the day is from AED 2,000. A produced day, where the same operator also edits, is from AED 3,200 for a product video day with up to four cuts, AED 3,400 for a social content day with four reels and twenty stills, or AED 4,400 for a full event day with a highlight film. Agencies do not sell single days; they quote a project with crew day rates inside it.

What do video production packages in Dubai include?

The five packages on this site run from AED 2,000 for a property walkthrough to AED 6,000 for a three-minute corporate film, and each one names the hours on site, the finished films, the vertical cuts, the revision rounds and the delivery time. Anything outside the package (drone, second shooter, studio, talent, permits) is listed as a separate line before you confirm.

Why is an agency quote so much higher than a solo quote for the same video?

Because an agency quote pays several people. A producer, a project manager, a director, two camera operators, a sound recordist and an edit house each carry a day rate, and a margin sits on top. A solo operator quoting a corporate film at AED 6,000 removes most of those lines because one person does the planning, the shoot and the edit. The film is comparable; the invoice is not.

Is video production pricing in Dubai negotiable?

Scope is negotiable; rates rarely are. The reliable ways to lower a quote are fewer shoot days, one location, one decision maker, formats batched into the same day and a first cut window of 5 to 7 working days instead of a rush. A brief that does those things lands nearer AED 2,000 to 3,200 than AED 7,000, from any producer.
